Experimental comic inspired in whale hunting, archeological excavations and surgery. It’s part of the cosmogony of “The Rise and Fall of Eden” and was first published in the zine “Kovra”, a collaborative zine edited by Ediciones Valientes.

“They are not your other half, thay are your juicer”

Screen printed zine I made for Valentine’s Day. It consists in a series of scenes depicting the eternal drama of romantic love through the metaphor of the half orange*. The absolute emotional slaughter that what we call “love” can become, where we see two orange halves juicing eachother.

*In Spanish culture, your “soulmate” is referred to as your “other orange half”.

 

Memories of my Childhood. 2012

Inspired in the HD scenes of the movie “Melancholia”, this comic illustrates a short story my friend Bernat Mundial sent me via email. It made me laugh so much I decided to turn it into a short comic. First published in the zine “Bosta”, my first editorial project done together with Pablo Taladro.

 

Breed. 2013

Autobiographical comic based on the time my mother was aproached by a stranger who wanted our sausage dog Charlie to mate with his huge dog Bonnie. First published in the zine “Solo Perros”, a collaborative zine by Pablo Taladro where each author was asked to draw a story about dogs.

 

Family Christmas. 2013

Autobiografical comic based on the Christmas dinner in which my cousin had an epileptic seizure. Starring my granny, it’s a homage to her and my hilarious spanish family. First published in the zine “Kovra”, a collaborative zine edited by Ediciones Valientes.

 

Sam Says Enjoy Life. 2014

A series of short stories starring Sam Archer and inspired by the Beano’s Dennis and Gnasher comics. Sam Archer was a cheerful english woman who died in the 2004 Tsunami in Thailand. Her sister Natalie started a fundraising charity project using Sam’s image and comissioned me to do a series of short comics with positive social messages.

 

Anal Liberation Front. 2012

Inspired in the Animal Liberation Front’s graphic imagery, Anal Liberation Front is a satirical comic that aims to normalize anal sex practices in a moment where everyone considered them to be something only gay men do. First published in the zine “Bosta”, my first editorial project done together with Pablo Taladro.
